Histopathology

Our Histopathology Department at Well Care Diagnostic Center is dedicated to diagnosing diseases at the tissue level through microscopic examination of biopsy and surgical specimens. This service is vital in detecting and staging cancers, identifying infections, and evaluating inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

We process a wide range of specimens including:

  • Needle biopsies (breast, prostate, liver, etc.)
  • Excisional and incisional biopsies
  • Surgical resections
  • Endoscopic biopsies (GI tract, respiratory tract)
  • Skin punch biopsies
  • Lymph node biopsies

Our laboratory uses automated tissue processors, precision microtomes, and high-definition microscopes to ensure consistent, detailed, and reproducible histologic sections.

We also perform special stains and immunohistochemistry (IHC) when needed to detect specific cellular markers or to differentiate between tumor types.

All slides are reviewed by experienced histopathologists, who provide comprehensive diagnostic reports, including grading, staging, and prognostic indicators—especially critical in oncology and cancer treatment planning. Our team works closely with referring physicians, oncologists, and surgeons to ensure that every diagnosis supports timely and appropriate clinical decisions.

We maintain strict quality control procedures at every step, from specimen collection and fixation to reporting. Our turnaround times are optimized to provide timely results, often within 48 to 72 hours, while ensuring no compromise in quality.

With a commitment to accuracy, compassion, and patient-focused care, our histopathology diagnostics offer the foundation for early detection and treatment of both benign and malignant diseases.
